Annual Meeting, Saturday November 6th
The UNA-USA Southern California Division invites all members
and guests to attend our Annual Meeting on
Saturday, November 6th, 11 AM to 3 PM at the Women’s City Club
of Pasadena, 160 North Oakland Ave, Pasadena. June O’Connor,
Professor in the Religious Studies Department at the University of California,
Riverside will be speaking on Conflict, Truth,
and Reconciliation: Is ‘No Future without Forgiveness’ Realistic?
Is forgiveness possible in the face of social atrocities and betrayal? Dr.
O’Connor has published 2 books and 45 journal articles or book
chapters on religion and the ethics of social change. She is also the
wife of Harry Hood, past president of the UNA/USA Citrus Belt Chapter.
In addition, we will announce the results of the October Special National Convention regarding the UNA-USA alliance with the Better World Fund and hold our annual DIVISION ELECTIONS. Each chapter will have and opportunity to honor members and share their activities. RESERVATIONS: This year, we have three options: $60 sponsors - seated near the podium, $45 regular, and $35 YPIC. The price includes luncheon and dessert and our very special program.
